Old Castle Town of Otaki-jo Keep
Otaki Castle was built at the end of the sixteenth century by Honda Tadakatsu. Honda was entrusted by the first Shogun, Tokugawa Ieyasu to construct the castle after years of loyal service. Honda was said to have been in over one hundred battles.
The jokamachi of Otaki Castle refers to the streets and districts that built up under the protection of the castle itself. Today, there are pleasant old fashioned houses and sake brewers to call in to.
