Arashiyama Yakatabune Riverboat
Oi-gawa is the river that flows through the heart of the Arashiyama district of Kyoto. Around one thousand years ago, samurai who protected the emperor chartered and held parties on these boats. We invite you to experience the same culture and tradition as the samurai aristocracy on our chartered houseboats.
Kyoto Gourmet Bento On Board
Your lunch is a three-tier boxed bento prepared by a chef who trained at a high-class restaurant. The ingredients vary based on what is freshest and in season and will be a delicious treat to both your palette and for the eyes. Please try the famous tofu endorsed by famous sons of the Kansai region such as Nobel laureate, Yasunari Kawabata.
Arashiyama can be enjoyed throughout all four seasons: sakura flowers in the spring, lush greenery in the summer, vibrant leaves in autumn and romantic snow in winter. Aside from the scenery, we also recommend that you walk around and soak in the historical and cultural sites. For instance, the garden in Tenryu-ji Temple, a World Heritage site, blends traditional aristocratic culture with Zen concepts, while the four hundred meter path through the bamboo garden is one of Kyoto’s top attractions.
